Brazil: an huge uncertainty facing the future
Brazil geopolitics in this new world context rising in the international scene after the recent US presidential election, brings a different challenge to its government and President, Mr.Michel Temer, that took charge only a few months ago.
In fact, this brand new Brazilian presidency needs to address a multiplicity of issues, both in the internal arena and globally considered, and so far those questions are not quite clear, even because the country is deeply involved in a giant corruption scandal that threatens a great number of its political actors and shows no signs of being solved in the near future.
Brazilian politicians are too much involved in the day by day problems needing immediate attention, and they have not yet reached the point of being able to think ahead and develop a common national consensus to face the country’s needs for stability, development and economical recovery. And US new leadership does not look into Brazil or South America as one of their priorities, this is for sure.
Therefore, it is of great uncertainty the future that lies ahead for this 200 million people society and it also seems that the BRICS strategy that brought some hope in recent years will not carry to this part of the world a magic solution. Not now and not in the years to come.
Uncertainty, more uncertainty, is coming …!
